This industrial 802.11 Wi-Fi family, FastLinc, provides temperature ranges from -40 to +70°C (-40 to +158°F) and high-speed wireless Ethernet connectivity- up to 54 Mbps (over the air data rate)- at distances up to 6 miles (10 km) using 2.4 GHz direct sequence spread spectrum 802.11b. Regardless of your 802.11b project, Data-Linc Group's FastLinc Family offers a variety of modem options with features that can meet your network communication needs.

In response to customer request, Data-Linc designed these modems for industrial applications that require high-speed wireless Ethernet communications at a reasonable cost. Data-Linc Group's FastLinc FLC800C+ PCMCIA wireless Ethernet 802.11b WiFi and IEEE compliant modem

  • Provides high-speed wireless Ethernet connectivity using the 2.412-2.462 GHz license-free spread spectrum band

For portable applications, the FastLinc 800C+ Industrial PCMCIA Card offers four to six times the RF output power of most commercially available 802.11b Wi-Fi cards. The high output power (370mW) significantly increases wireless coverage for portable computers roaming within plant facilities where obstructions and interference levels are more severe than office buildings. The FastLinc 800C+ Wi-Fi performance is further optimized when used with FastLinc 810E+ modems in 802.11b access point mode. 300mW stand-alone wireless Ethernet 802.11b modem

Data-Linc Group's FLC810E+ stand-alone wireless Ethernet 802.11b modem adds high power and support for multiple field devices to the FastLinc Family

The FastLinc 810E+ replaces the FLC810E and adds higher RF power (300 mW), the ability to connect multiple Ethernet devices in station adaptor mode and a built-in router to the FastLinc Family.

Rated at a range up to 6 miles (10 km) with unobstructed line-of-sight (farther using Repeaters), the FLC810E+ is ideal for wireless Ethernet communications in challenging industrial environments.

The FLC810E+ includes wireless bridge mode for linking remote plant networks, access point mode for creating wireless hotspots within industrial plants and can also act as a Repeater for extending range or working around obstructions. In station adapter mode it can link one or more devices to the plant network.
