900 MHz OFDM high-speed modemFLC910E 900MHz OFDM high-speed modem

The FastLinc FLC910E uses OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology and the robust 900 MHz ISM band to provide higher data rates, improved line-of-sight issues and immunity to multi-path fading. Based on the FLC910E platform, the upcoming addition, due later in 2010, is an 802.11abgn modem that will offer backward compatibility with the FLC810E+ and FLC820G modems and will operate in the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands. These two Data-Linc products offer new and exciting capabilities in data transmission, further broadening an already excellent array of robust and reliable data communication products. Read more...

CIX System goes beyond standard I/O devices

CIX System- I/O ExtendersData-Linc’s newest product, the ARRA (America Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) compliant wireless Communication Interface Extender (CIX), was designed to offer a cost effective, easy-to-implement automation I/O extension without complicated or proprietary software or PLC programming. Both the 900MHz CIX6400 and the 2.4GHz CIX6500 offer 12 bit resolution analogs. The CIX6x00/M receives data from the PLC via its serial port using Modbus RTU or DF1, or via its Ethernet port using Modbus TCP/IP or Ethernet/IP. It then transmits the data to as many as 16 Remote units (384 points). The CIX/EXR non-radio extender Remote for Remote unit expansion is also available. Read more...

DAX Family offers easy expansion growing I/O networksDAX Family- I/O Extenders

Data-Linc's wireless DAX6x00 Discrete/Analog Expandable I/O extender transmits discrete and analog signals using robust, industrial wireless technology for up to 25 miles (40 km) using the 900 MHz DAX6400 and up to 10 miles (16 km) with the 2.4GHz DAX6500. These devices are low-cost and ideal for either fixed or mobile installations. The DAX/EXR non-radio extender Remote for Remote unit expansion is also available. Read more...

NET620— Serial to Ethernet BridgeNET620— Serial to Ethernet Bridge

The NET620 offers simple low cost bridging of serial and Ethernet devices. Each NET620 supports DF1 to Ethernet/IP, modbus RTU to modbus TCP/IP and serial binary to UDP or TCP/IP (terminal server). Setup to operational solution is fast and easy. (See the detailed data sheet and read the press release)

Hybrid Modems Now Available with EtherNet/IP to DF1/Modbus RTU bridgingSRM6x20 Hybrid Ethernet modems

The 900 MHz SRM6220 and the 2.4 GHz SRM6320 modems now offer not only UDP Ethernet to serial connectivity, but also feature Ethernet/IP to DF1/Modbus RTU bridging. This bridging allows legacy DF1 equipment to be incorporated into an EtherNet/IP network without adding intermediate devices. Only the modem is required for this integration thus reducing cost and increasing efficiency. The accompanying, SetLincTM software makes SRM6x20 configuration easy and intuitive. Read the press release...

The 900 MHz SRM6220 and the 2.4 GHz SRM6320 Hybrid wireless modems are the newest members of the Data-Linc Group robust, reliable SRM family of wireless modems that have well-earned reputation for robust, reliable data transfer in the most challenging environments. The SRM6220 and the SRM6320 feature Ethernet with serial tunneling capability Ethernet-Serial Hybrids modemsthat is compatible with most protocols like DF1 and Modbus RTU. Additionally, they offer a number of unique customer benefits such as backward compatibility, which means that one of these new modems can replace an Ethernet SRM6210E or SRM6310E or be added to a legacy SRM6210E or respective SRM6310E network. In addition to the ease of replacing “retired” modems, backward compatibility also allows the user to move from legacy equipment into today’s technology as need and as budget allows with the added benefit of reduced cost from requiring only a single “replacement/backup” modem.
